Carmarthen (Kermerdyn) petitioned for a grant of murage in {1315}.

Wording
Nature of request: The petitioners seek the extension of a commission to repair the walls of the town through the collection of murage, which was originally granted for three years from 18 July 1312 and which will expire next August, and although the walls have been greatly repaired many faults remain and need to be rebuilt and reinforced against the assaults of the Welsh.
Endorsement: An order to the justices to calculate how much murage has been collected and received and into whose hands it passed, and finally to enquire whether the murage was well used and how much more may be required and to certify in respect thereof.
