A short little book published in 1973 and written by the former Chief Inspector of Ancient Monuments. It amazes me that this little book of 73 pages can get so much in. It has a good introduction to castles and the various types of fortifications but then has more plans than most book 5 times it's size and still fits in some good photographs.
