Oswestry (Osewaldestre) was given a grant of murage dated 24/2/1283.

Comments
The previous grant was due to run to November 1283 and seems to have been renewed in December 1283. This grant seems superfluous and may represent a personal approach by some of the townsmen to the king whilst he was relatively close to Oswestry.
