Bridgnorth (de Bruges) was given a grant of murage dated 6/4/1227.

De villa de Bruges claudenda.—Rex vicecomiti Salopie, et omnibus de eodem comitatu, salutem. Sciatis quod concessimus burgensibus nostris de Bruges, in auxilium ville de Bruges claudende, ad securitateni et tuitionern ejusdem ville simul et partium adjacentium, quod capiant singulis septimanis semel usque in duos annos a die Nativitatis beati Johannis Baptiste anno regni nostri xj,
de qualibet caretta sive carro ejusdem comitatus Salopie ferente res venales in eandem villam de Bruges ibidem vendendas, unum obolum:
et de qualibet caretta sive carro alterius comitatus ferente res venales in eandem villam ibidem vendendas, unum denarium:
et de quolibet summagio rerum venalium ibidem vendendarum preterquarn de summagio, {busce} j quadrantem:
et de quolibet equo et equa et bove et vacca venali illuc ductis ad vendendum, unum obolum:
et de decem ovibus vel capris vel porcis venalibus illuc ductis ad vendendum, unum denarium:
et de v ovibus vel capris vel porcis, unum obolum:
et de qualibet nave veniente in villam de Bruges per aquam Sabrine carcata rebus venalibus ibidem vendendis, quatuor denarios:
ita tamen quod occasione illius concessionis nostre de hujusmodi carettis, carris, summagiis, equis, equabus, bobus, vaccis, ovibus, capris vel nave veniente in villam de Bruges carcata rebus venalibus, nihil capiatur post predictos duos annos completes, set statim completis cedat consuetudo illa et penitus aboleatur. Et ideo tibi vicecomiti precipimus quod hanc concessionern nostram clamari facias per totam balliam tuam et firmiter observari usque ad predictum terminum, sicut predictum est.
Teste rege, apud Westmonasterium, sexto die Aprilis, anno etc. xj.
