Montgomery (Mongomery) was given a grant of murage dated 10/9/1275.

This was in the form of:-

Wording
Power to Bogo de Knovill, keeper of the castle of Mongomery, to sell the underwood of the chace of Corendon, and to apply the money, as he is instructed, to the enclosing and repairing of the walls, dykes and paling of the town and castle of Mongomery.

Granted by Edward I. (Regnal year 3). Granted at Birkenhead (Berkeheved).
