Radnor is said to have been given a grant of murage dated 1280 but this report is rejected.

Comments
Work on these probably began shortly after 1257 when Roger Mortimer secured his murage grant, although further grants were made in 1280, 1283 and 1290 following the Welsh rising under Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. (Soulsby; who's reference for the 1280 grants appears to be Cole who makes no such mention. Probably a mistake for the 1257 grant.)
