Shrewsbury was given a grant of murage dated 20/2/1266.

This was in the form of:-

Wording
Extension to the bailiffs and good men of Shrewsbury of the grant made seven years and more ago of murage which the king made to them for five years; to wit, for another six years from Easter next.

Granted by Henry III. (Regnal year 50). Granted at Westminster.
