Carmarthen (Kermerdin) was given a grant of murage dated 28/6/1266.

This was in the form of:-

Wording
Grant, at the instance of Edmund the king's son, to the bailiffs and good men of Kermerdin that they may continue to take until Michaelmas and for three years after that date the murage which they have been accustomed to take.

Granted by Henry III. (Regnal year 50). Granted at Kenilworth.

Comments
Does 'accustomed to take' mean they had been taking murage for considerable periods before this date. The 1 year grant in 1333-4 can hardly be considered sufficient to justify this phrase. Was this murage taken under 'lost' grants?
