Southampton (Suthampton) was given a grant of murage dated 25/4/1347.

Grant to the mayor and bailiffs of Suthampton of murage after the rate of 1d. in the pound on goods and merchandise brought to or taken from the liberty of their town for four years from 20 May next.
Changed because sealed at another time for the same term.
