Bristol was given a grant of murage dated 30/4/1241.

This was in the form of:-

Wording
Extension of the term of the grant to the men of Bristol of murage until three years from Midsummer next, as is contained in the Patent Roll of the twenty-second year, except that from every cart load of the county of Gloucester where before they used to take 1/2d they shall now take 1/4d only.

Granted by Henry III. (Regnal year 25). Granted at Westminster.
