Comments
the sheriffs accounts in the Pipe Rolls for 1211-12 show that considerable sums of money were being spent much earlier on the 'wall of Cork' - the total comes to £150-200 over a 3 year period, the value of the fee-farm was later £50 p.a. (Thomas)
