There are no visible remains.

Description

Medieval borough first mentioned in 1298. John Ocle was granted a licence to crenellate his house here in 1335. (PastScape)

There may have more than one manor in the parish of Tamerton Foliot and Ocle's house may have been away from the town centre. Research needs to done to identify Ocle's house with any certainty. Given map reference is for parish church.

A Royal licence to crenellate was granted in 1335 Sept 7 (Click on the date for details of this licence.).
